Ancorotti Cosmetics has shown its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and supporting local communities through the recent renovation of a former Olivetti typewriter factory into a new production plant.
This allowed the company to avoid land consumption when it made the decision to expand its facilities.
In addition, the renovated plant revitalised local employment, which was previously heavily reliant on typewriter manufacturing, by providing 500 jobs in the plant and supporting economic activity for the company’s local suppliers.
Today, cosmetics manufacturing is the area’s most important industry, providing both employment and specialised training opportunities to the local community. Lombardy alone accounts for 66% of Italy’s total cosmetics sector turnover; the city of Crema, home to Ancorotti Cosmetics, stands at the heart of a thriving ecosystem specialised in cosmetics production, mainly consisting of SMEs.
