At the heart of Givaudan missions, lies the dedication to train the next generation of perfumers, instilling in them a deep-rooted of crafting fragrance creations, in two dedicated perfumery schools, in Argenteuil (France) and in Singapore.

Founded in 1946 by the visionary Roure perfumer Jean Carles, who pioneered a system of olfactive study that remains the industry standard today, Givaudan is proud to be the custodians of this rich legacy. However, joining one of the prestigious schools is a significant achievement; the recruitment process spans at least six months and focuses more on personality than prior knowledge, ensuring that Givaudan cultivate a diverse and passionate cohort. This unique approach makes admission a significant opportunity and a formidable challenge.

Over the course of our best-in-class four-year program, students will master 600 raw materials, to create accords, closest to nature thanks to the gardens. Utilizing cutting-edge AI tools like Egredients, which employ neuroscience methodologies, students can enhance their learning experience. Plus, Givaudan approach to perfumery is not just about tradition; it’s about pioneering the future. Carto, an innovative platform features an instant sampling robot and digital tools designed to enhance the creative process, allowing perfumers to explore uncharted territories of scent.

Upon graduation, celebrated with a memorable ceremony, these aspiring perfumers emerge equipped with essential technical skills.
